Best Buy marketplace reaches into Canada

Best Buy recently announced the company will extend its online marketplace to Canada, which will enable sellers to reach prospects in the country. A spokesperson told Internet Retailer that the Canadian marketplace will launch in October, just in time for the 2015 holiday season. BestBuy.ca attracts more than 250 million visitors annually, which is a substantial audience for merchants looking to reach customers in Canada.

Best Buy will allow marketplace sellers to give customers the option of returning goods straight to a Best Buy store.

Best Buy has not disclosed the specific details of selling on the marketplace. However, the company will give sellers access to its email database, which sellers can use to promote their products and reach more than 5 million subscribers.
